Voigtlander Ultron 35mm f/2.0 is a lens that allows you to breathe a bit of analog magic into the digital world of modern photography. A lens that will often surprise you with exceptional imaging and give an unprecedented character to your photos.
The Ultron 35mm’s compact barrel has a classic design reminiscent of lenses from decades past. The optical construction, consisting of eight lenses arranged in five groups, also refers to them, promising a unique, analogue character of the created image. Analogue, but not soft and devoid of details, but clear and accurate, especially when the aperture is closed. Image adapted to the resolution of modern mirrorless cameras.
The classic 35mm focal length, loved by reporters and street photographers, giving a pleasing 62.5° field of view. Plus a ten-blade aperture with a large maximum aperture of f/2.0 for low-light conditions. That’s a recipe for a practical lens for general use. The Ultron 35mm is just such a lens. Not only will it work perfectly as an everyday tool, but it will also add something of its own to the images it paints – personality.
Quality without compromise
Voigtlander lenses are renowned for their top quality workmanship, and this is also the case with the Ultron 35mm. The entire barrel is made of metal, so the lens will maintain its accuracy for many years. The focus ring moves smoothly, but with the necessary resistance for precise work. In order to make the sharpening more comfortable there is a metal lever which can be unscrewed according to your preferences. The aperture ring, on the other hand, allows you to change its value in 1/2 EV increments between f/2.0 and f/16.
Bag Leica M
The lens is equipped with a Leica M bayonet, designed for Leica and Voigtlander rangefinder cameras. Using the appropriate bayonet adapter, the Ultron 35mm f/2.0 can be mounted on any Canon R, Nikon Z, Sony E or Micro 4/3 mirrorless camera.
