Yongnuo YN 85 mm f / 1.8 is a short telephoto portrait of high brightness designed for use with full-frame cameras with Canon EF mount.
Portrait, telephoto is a classic 85 mm focal length willingly used by many portrait photographers, photojournalists photographers and event organizers. The lens offers a focal length of the narrow viewing angle, which ideally will work in photojournalism, studio photography and portraiture. A long focal length shortens strongly about the prospect of highlighting images and creating stunning bokeh (background blurring). Close-up lens that offers will allow the photographer to shoot from a distance, without interact with photographed model.
High brightness large aperture provides a greater amount of light reaching the sensor. You can thus use shorter shutter speeds, even in difficult lighting conditions. A wide range of aperture settings (ranging from f / 1.8 to f / 18) provides a comfortable and precise control over the depth of field. The maximum aperture (f / 2.0) is a shallow depth, which allows to highlight the main subject of the image by blurring the background. The value of f / 18, in turn, enables to capture more details of the scene and maintain focus on all planes.
Yongnuo YN 85 mm f / 1.8 is equipped with a modern system autofocus (AF) to facilitate fast and precise focusing. Located on the side of the housing AF / MF switch allows you to go to manual mode sharpening whenever you need a manual control focusing. Work with the lens also makes clear the depth of field scale. The minimum focusing distance is 0.85 meters.
Optical construction The construction of the optical Yongnuo YN 85 mm f / 1.8 lens consisting of 9 arranged in six groups. The lens works with both full-frame matrices, as well as from cameras with a matrix format APS-C (including focal length multiplier). The thread on the front lens enables the installation of filters having a diameter of 58 mm.
